Immunohistochemistry has now become a very important investigation in histopathology for arriving at the correct diagnosis where one has to choose between many differential diagnosis or has to confirm a very unusual diagnosis or make a diagnosis for specific targeted therapy. Since many departments do not have large panels of monoclonal antibodies, postgraduate students do not have the opportunity to work up all the cases.
